"Run What Ya Brung!" Saturday 31st May 2003 |
|
GTOUK is pleased to announce the next "Run What Ya Brung" (RWYB) session at Santa Pod on Saturday 31st May.
Entry admission to Santa Pod is £10 (per person!) with a further £15 fee if you wish to take your car on to the strip. The £15 fee covers you all day and you can have as many runs as you like (although there is normally a fairly long queue to get on to the strip).
This event will be subsidised for GTOUK Full members. Present your membership card to a committee member and your £10 admission fee will be refunded (note: this may be refunded via a cheque in the post).
Drivers expecting to exceed 100MPH MUST wear a helmet.
Your standard car insurance will not cover you for the runs on the strip, so you can either take out extra cover or run without. However, be aware that GTOUK cannot be held responsible for any accidents or mishaps that may occur, you do this at your own risk, and there is no insurance cover available through GTOUK to cover you.
Santa Pod is notoriously difficult to find and is not very well signposted but if you check out this map and follow the signs to Podington you should hopefully spot the odd sign or two for Santa Pod. You should keep a lookout for a road called Airport Road or something similar and Santa Pod is at the end of this road.
Gates open at 8am, track racing starts at 10am.
Oh, one last thing. If you intend to go on the strip, you need to remember to bring your driving license - they won't let you on without it! |
